“Wisdom from the wreckage” statement is from a conversation with my friend Julia [aka Sweet One]. We are staying up eating cheetos and drinking Diet Dr. Pepper! Oh wait that’s me but I’m hanging out with her online! We love to look at the stars and talk about stars and all that stuff you do with starry friends! 😀

Stuck on Stupid-My own Dr. Phil
Stuck on Stupid-lessons from my Dr. Phil
People that know me well have heard me say this before but if not I thought it was funny and it changed the way I think and do a lot of things in my life.
My friend Phil, is a counselor. We met while his wife was suffering the devastating toll cancer can take on the body. I thought I was helping him but really he was helping me.
Phil knows me and all my secrets. I jokingly call him Dr. Phil because he is wise. He said,
“Girl what part of stupid are you stuck on.”
Wow!!!!! I was stunned silent. I knew he wasn’t being mean, he has a way of making me think. Then he said, “Darling, you know I didn’t mean to say you are stupid but sometimes, I want to shock you straight, most people define insanity as doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. But, my definition of insanity is,
“Doing the same thing over and over,KNOWING you will get the same result,
BUT doing it anyway.”What part of stupid are you stuck on?
Honestly, I had been stuck on stupid for so long I didn’t realize I was stuck.
I don’t have all the answers, but this I do know, get wisdom, so I did and have and I know I’m not stuck on stupid anymore, wisdom is my friend. Thank you Phil!
