Baby girl takes a fall~Still smiling, how could I not?

Baby girl
Baby girl

YES baby girl my Alex fell down the stairs at school she has been taking classes all week, and when she picked me up, [we carpool together] she said mom I think I hurt my knee. Yes she did.
Last week I didn’t share with you but we were waiting results from tests on another issue we’ve been dealing with and they all turned out negative which was very positive. Shew!
I sat there in her doctor’s office, [I have to admit] I needed an attitude adjustment because I’m tired, so tired. It’s just me and baby girl and she was sorry she hurt herself which made me feel worse for feeling sorry for myself so I slapped myself and said Michelle get over it, suck it up. Your life is a series of hospitals, doctor’s offices and illness but, that is just how it is….that’s the facts. No harm in stating the facts.
Her doc put a knee brace on her and gave her these crutches and as you can see from the look on her face, she’s used to dealing with her patients that use crutches and it made me laugh this look. She said oh yes I know how to use these. LOL! She could not figure out how to use them, I watched her put all her knowledge into practice and she managed to get out the door. Her doctor was smiling at me because Alex held the crutches out like wings, to which he said, “Alex at least use them till you are out of my eye sight.”
Something about all of this makes me laugh~I seriously could not get her leg in the car. I sat down on the curb and we both laughed and she said mom lets just hang my leg out the door, more laughter.
I hope this encourages you in some way  or makes you laugh too, and for some reason I’m laughing as I type this.
Oh the best thing she said was, “Mom I’m working up a sweat, maybe I’ll get a good work out. ”
YES if you know me well you know I’m a workout nut and I’m always trying to get her to go with me to the gym.
I can’t help but smile right now! 😀

I’m not into deep
But when I look at you
I see the storm’s coming
I hear the waves roaring
I feel the rain flowing
Each stare feels like current
Like against your tide I swim
And I’m electrified and into deep
Coz I know you’re just a dream

Friendship Friendship

You came into my life exactly when I needed you

That was God’s blessed plan of that I am very sure

We were young and in love with the Lord’s view

Wishing we could, of all things, marry the Master

You traversed to the Holy Land came home in awe

Impressed I wanted what you had was becoming clear

As we grew life took us away though we remained close

Life brought us close again though we were very disimular

Unity lies in diversity so it made no real difference to us

Forty two years passed you are so important to my valor

You’re such a huge part of my life whom I so much value

I love you Laura, sister of my soul!

NO LEFT TURNS~Another Felicity tale

noleftturns

I knew a girl called Felicity
Who turned left with great difficulty
I asked why was that
But she called me a prat
And set off right at velocity

A Solitary Tear

Art by MichelleMarie
Art by MichelleMarie

A solitary tear runs down my face
but I do not know the reason
for it’s existence
some say I am a happy child
and should consider myself lucky
oh but you don’t know the
turmoil that rocks my soul
It twist and turns
and it never lets go
only to give me a moments reprieve
and then again it goes
my mind it deceives
Once I thought I freed myself
away from all it’s grasps
I turned to run but that fellow
I found he moved to fast
so I waited and waited
till a clearing I saw it
I cut away I ran
I kept on running so fast
Ran over the dry parched land
I think I’m still running
someone please stop me

I was reading Richard’s poem and I suddenly remembered this poem I had written when I was young in my teens. It was odd for me because I didn’t have many memories of my childhood up to very recently so to remember something from that long ago was so interesting to me.
