Well this was only 6″ nothing like the New England states but we were excited to take a walk. I am not excited about my morning drive today! I will pray like my friend here! 😀

    1. We’re camping inside until Sunday, more iced rain and fleeting snow, so forget spraying and spreading until Sunday unless emergencies pop up, then, we’ll crush the road with the heavy old Mercedes 21 pax bus and try to dodge the trees and the lake as we cross over, too.

      1. We survived indeed, even after power, internet, cable went down. Thankfully we still have radio and local channel access for TVs, left old antennaes inside attic, they came in very handy. Many lessons taught and learned over weekend, will come in handy as Kiddies grow older like their parents. Morse code and alternative cooking methods were a hit.

      2. Thankfully the security system captured some moments we didn’t record with our still cameras. It also removed all doubts as to the expansion/upgrades of our sound devices, too. Sometimes when it’s quiet, I go back and see what I may have missed when I have to be away.

      3. I always thought I would enjoy the solitude when our Kids grew up and had lives of their own. I wanted them to be independent, also. Now I realize how empty life would be without all the smiles and laughter that surround me in this house. Now I know a day filled with silence and stillness would drive me absolutely BONKERS and the little guys in the white jackets would be my new caretakers))))))))))

      4. During total thyroid removal surgery/Cancer, there were complications, so I chose no Voice and no hole with a plug in my throat. It ended my future career in StandupComedy. Jimmy Fallon got lucky, I was in line to take Jay Leno’s slot))))))))))))))))))))) at least as soon as they built a chair that could let me reach his desktop.))))))))))))))

      5. We are blessed that so far only I and my youngest Sister has had any thyroid problems. She has fought with imbalances and cold and hot nodes since puberty. Last few years, she finally has leveled out and it is such a change, indeed. She has a great spirit, so I don’t see it getting her down, even if it goes whacko again. TY. Wishing you a wonderful day and week.

      6. You have to keep it in check, I didn’t know at first, I thought I was slipping into BiPolarism with my sudden mood swings. Kids thought I had banged my head and off balanced.

      7. I willingly gave up my thyroid knowing the risk involved, thankfully my Kids were able to find old audio&video recordings I’d made over the years so Grands would know how Opa sounded. I recorded nighttime readings for my Nieces while they were in hospital in incubators. Nurses said it helped to calm them and let them sleep. Now we have used them for Grands, here at home and at other Kids’ homes. Sometimes when I visit for holidays, I’ll hear my voice and start looking around))))))))))))
