BB and I ate and shopped tonight. She never wants anything so that makes me try even harder to find something she will like! She always says, no mom I really don’t want anything I have everything I need. The sweetest thing to me was when she decided to pick out a pair of shoes and we got to the check out the guy said buy on get one 1/2 price so I said why don’t you get the other shoes you wanted. She comes back with a pair of shoes for her dad. I just looked at her and reminded her it was her birthday and she said I know I just feel sorry for him sometimes. Wow! I love seeing people through baby girl’s eyes they look different through the eyes of love!

Similar to the post the other day “What if you knew you couldn’t fail?”. What if today was the day you have been waiting for? “I will do it when the time is right” how do you know that NOW isn’t the right time? “I’ll talk to them when I am ready.” Maybe you are ready now. “I am saving things for the right day.” What if today was the right day.

My sweet Uncle sent me this song! He always seems to know just what to say, sing, or write. I love that about him. Me & my Uncle Gunn we are a team and neither one of us is perfect and I love that so much!

I have several people in my life that like to remind me of my sin, wrong things I’ve done, just how much I don’t measure up to the mark! BTW who sets the mark? Who makes the rules? Because I really want to know…what about forgiveness, grace and mercy? What about that? Like my Pa used to say….

Don’t Quit

Wow A, this made me cry in a good way of course! I was thinking today what happens when life’s cheerleader needs a cheerleader? I guess God sends one for me cause here you are posting just what I needed! It’s amazing when you actually think of quitting everything how powerful the downward spiral. I once cried for 3 months solid and wondered if the sadness would ever lift and it does! This time though I was being brave and took an unexpected hit, knocked my flat down. I thought to myself this morning I’m getting tired of getting back up I believe I’ll stay here. So thank you for posting this! I’m going to copy it and put it in my wall right now and every time I look at it I’ll smile and think how my sweet friend A came to the rescue! Much love and great appreciation to you A! 💗

A Mixed Bag

If you have been really wanting to do something, but are afraid of failure, how would you react if you knew you wouldn’t fail? If you knew that taking that step would be the best thing you ever did? Would you ask that person to dinner if you knew they would say yes? Would you go parachuting if you knew for certain you would survive? Would you tell someone you loved them if you knew it was reciprocated?

How do you know it won’t? Don’t be afraid of failure, look for the success. Don’t hide behind the “what if …” look at the “it will …“

Y’all I am blessed to live in the BUCKLE of the BIBLE belt, Tulsa, Oklahoma. I’m not a thumper in fact the opposite. I’m the prodigal Woman! Yes, I grew up IN the church, what a joke. It wasn’t until BABY GIRL was laying in the hospital dying at 2 years old that I needed me a GOD with some skin on HIM! Nothing will bring you to your knees like your dying baby girl.

I never claim to be perfect, never~in fact this is the first time I share this with you…..I’m was like Paul on the road to Damascus~BLIND. I was like Peter~I didn’t know my own heart….but God does. I’m thankful for that!

Some folks like ME are here for a season in your life~I never know how long that season is but I do know this~if I don’t bloom and grow where I’m planted and learn from my stupid mistakes…..I’ll be like the folks walking around the mountain for 40 years. All I have done up until 2007 is taken care of my Alexanderia! I was invisible and you can say what you want to say about that, but I tell you to shut thee up! Your opinion is no longer needed nor required. I look to God and God alone to tell me who I am.

I will tell you a secret about me…….NO ONE CAN BEAT ME UP WORSE THEN I BEAT MYSELF~So I ask for mercy and forgiveness. I wanted to disappear again! It takes all my guts to stay here! I’m a runner! I closed my comments because I can’t take them! So please understand when I tell you I stand before you a BROKEN and MENDING Woman! I am NOT perfect in fact I am a BIG mess and I know it!
