Wildflower just being me
blooming and growing
in the field till one day
someone said
I wasn’t blooming right
my petals weren’t the right color
that was the day they took my joy
it was fun being wild and free
till you pointed out I will never be
what you want me to be
it makes me sad you didn’t realize
how much I enjoyed growing
wild and being free
neither did I till now
I will just grow today
and smile anyway
