  1. I love standing outside at night, alone, when it is snowing. The world is so silent you can almost hear each snowflake touch you, touch the ground. Snowflakes melt on your nose, cover your eyelids and the world appears to stand still. The only movement–the cold, soft, fluffy flakes. Everything is white, clean and crisp, a new beginning spread before you on the ground. The sky, a deep midnight blue, appears to be shimmering above you. The feeling reminds me of before I was born, the clean all-encompassing silence is womb-like, safe, comforting. Did I say, I love standing outside at night, alone, when it is snowing?

    I will gladly leave you all the snow in the world. People in TN don’t know how to drive in rain, much less in snow, ice, sleet or even on most clear days.
    I do like watching snow, mostly on TV or laptop, and not the one hooked up to security cams))))

    1. And big warm hugs to you, I’m cuddling near fireplace, it’s so nice to watch and hear the crackling. And here and there to toss a few cedar and pine pieces in, just little ones. Hardwoods burn so much cleaner and LONGER.

      1. while I love the smell of some soft woods, the sap can create a mess and a hazard over the years, so I try to minimize future messes. I no longer smoke my pipes, but I still scatter a bit of the tobacco over the fire for the effects. Brings back memories of my Grandfathers)))))))

      2. My Gramps and Dad wore OS until they passed, I did the Brut and Aramis until Eternity came out and Daughters forced the rest into retirement. (One day they confessed, the first one they bought me wasn’t the men’s version.) Yep, my girls)))))))))))))))

  5. Lovely MM. I’m trying to come up with one about rain, but is’t had to do on a winter day. Maybe during the summer when we will be praying for the rain.
