The WP customer response request I received today

BELOW MY 4th or 5th response maybe 4th because I know one I received an error message in one!!! Go figure:

I like the old admin secure pages, I do not like the new stats page! I feel like we are being forced to use the new design! I DO NOT understand why WordPress cannot stop making changes! It’s VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!
Takes the fun out of blogging if I constantly have to figure out a way around the new changes!
I had several bed bound friends that have all but quit blogging because they cannot keep up or figure out how to respond to comments.
I’m techie so this of course it just a pain for me but for those who rely on WP to reach out to others it’s cruel to do to them! I realize “NEW AND INNOVATIVE” is the wave of the future, but the elderly/sick/not techie followers suffer greatly from the “NEW AND IMPROVED” versions!

If I have at least 5 friends that are lost when WP upgrades, and if everyone else has at least 5 friends that are lost, can you imagine….5×100, that is 500 people???? I’m a numbers person so if I knew I had upset 500 customers I would be worried and making it right!
All I can think of are my sweet friends that worry when they cannot post or answers comments, because someone thought let’s be clever move comments to another area of WP.

This is my opinion which you asked for and my 5th response I’ve filled out….I still keep doing it because someone needs to say STOP it!

  1. MM, I have complained and I have notified support again and again. I am SO fed up with these changes ALL the time. What is the point to all this insanity? My speed on WP is to a crawl lately and it is not my computer, just WP. If I don’t set my feature image even if it is only ONE image, WP puts in another image of mine. I am just about ready to walk. I’ve noticed a huge decline in my traffic lately and I would bet it is because blogging is no longer fun and people are not blogging. It is a hassle. It takes me SO long to get through my notifications and even with this response, there is a lag. It is SO not fair. Nothing ever seems to get resolved …. just more changes. *sigh* I Love you, even if I decide to leave. Please know this! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Michelle, I used to be able to zip through my notifications, zip over to blogs, leave comments, and actually have time to do what I must in my life. Now I wait, and I wait, and it takes about 3 times as long to do what I used to be able to do so fast. I have a very fast laptop, and why the slowness on WP is beyond me. I was told they are putting a new software program on. FOR WHAT????? I like things running smoothly so I can depend on that in order to organize the rest of my day. When blogging gets dragged out, I get SO exhausted and frustrated! Now today for some odd reason, my iPad is actually working with WP and the speed is faster. I will know more when I use my laptop. When are these things going to stop? People here don’t like change … we need to know we can depend on a system to stay that way so that we can blog efficiently. Really!

      1. I do not like the dumb bell thingie, Michelle, not at all. I use wordpress.com/notifications/ but the speed is just no longer there, and yes loading other blogs as well just so slow. It takes me so much longer to blog now, which is not fair to me. I use WP media to upload my photos too, which I do like. Why WP cannot just leave things be, is beyond me. Super frustrating …. I do agree!!!

  6. The only thing I like about the rollout is that you can still get to the old page (but only if you figure out how to) and that you can figure out your total likes now. Did they have to create such a giant earthquake in our way of doing things just to give us one new data point to obsess over? And every time I got to the old page, they ask me why. The answer hasn’t changed — I know and love the OLD page.

  7. I have the same problems! I’m not a techie and usually I don’t figure it out, but I rely on email. This is much slower and more difficult. I keep going though because I love to write.

  8. ugh i hate the upgrades as well. If anything they can make it simpler! Not harder! maybe they should take a hint from tumblr!!!

    1. I even did one of their surveys i think it was, and i told them how ridiculous their upgrades is. The upgrades are sure not user friendly!

      10. Yes his dog kira hated those booties, he kept sliding. I think dogs with sweaters are cute, or then they wear their flashy harnesses and collars so cute!

  9. I don’t like any of the changes either. I did a bit of a rant about it a couple months ago.

    Not sure about the comments…they have been moved??
    I am wondering how many responses they need to the survey at the top of the old stats page to convince them. I fill it out every time I open the page. I don’t like the silly bell either….none of the changes add anything positive to the blogging experience.

  10. As you know, I stopped using WP because I got tried of fighting with their changes, and I moved my blog to my photo website. My WP blog is still up (it will be until November when I have to renew everything), but I’m no longer posting on it.
