I question a lot but never this…i rest my case

$1.50 Clematis never planted, I’m not kidding either. You have to be hearty to grow in my part of the Oklahoma heat! I spent a small fortune when I first moved here and lost 5 trees, all my pines and shady flowers so I gave up. I saw this bucket of Clematis at Lowe’s and thought well let me take you home but I didn’t have the heart to plant another bush and watch it die. But guess what? It just started growing from the bucket….it clings to the cross I have next to my bird bath. I thought to myself this plant is like me in so many ways!
There’s something there….this is where I sit and pray btw. My view from my prayer bench!

From two 5 gallon bucket size bushes, grows this sea of roses! This home was new construction so when I moved here there was no grass and certain no flower beds. A sweet neighbor I think felt sorry for me starting from nothing and she gave me two 5 gallon size, knock out roses. It’s been 7 years and they have grown to the top of Alex’s window! I prune them and they come back twice as big each year! Alex threatens to pull them out with her jeep because they scratch on her window at night! 😀 She’s kidding of course! 😀
