We have so much for which to be thankful!
I was reading something about blessings on another blog a few weeks ago and it reminded me of this wonderful old song that was written by Irving Berlin. It was called “Count Your Blessings” and was made popular many years ago by Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney in the film, “White Christmas”. In it, Crosby and Clooney sing about how they fall asleep by counting their blessings—instead of sheep. What a superb idea! I can’t think of a much better way to acknowledge, appreciate, and express our gratitude for the many, many gifts we receive each and every day.
With so many things vying for our attention nowadays, we often lose sight of the things for which we should be the most grateful—the wonder and beauty of the world around us, the miracle of our physical bodies and consciousness, our health, and the love of…

“But You Don’t Look Sick?” (loneliness, the Gospel, and other things…)
Sweet Belinda told me of this post by this beautiful soul sharing about a day in the life of a “Lymie” as she refers to! We never know how others suffer when face with diseases. My heart is tender towards those that suffer inside while looking ok on the outside. Please read this woman’s beautiful blog! I love my sweet Belinda to think this is how her days go it really breaks my heart. I love the faith this sweet one shares! Made me so excited I wanted to reblog! You’ll love it
“But you don’t look sick?”
If you’ve battled Lyme disease (or any other chronic and/or neurological illness) for a small amount of time you’ve probably heard this phrase posed to you by doctors, family, friends, and strangers a number of times. And my guess is you’re pretty sick of it by now. Yeah, I know the feeling. It’s so funny that no matter who I talk to this always comes up. It’s also funny that when I talk to other “Lymies”, this topic is always mentioned somewhere in our conversation…and it is spoken of with great agitation.
It’s frustrating because as a chronically ill person who’s battled an “invisible illness” for a long period of time you don’t exactly know what to say when someone comments, “Oh but you look so good!” I know I should be glad that people think I look “so good” even after being sick for…

Veins Are A Beautiful Tree Of Life.
Thanks dollarphotoclub!
The Tree of Life is an archetype
Found everywhere in our life’s energy
Shape is seen in water ways like pipes
Drought turns the earth to a fillagree
~
Our very life’s veins are a tree of sorts
Nerves and pathways in our brains
The way birds fly in the air supports
Innate formation implies they are tame
~
Mystically we are lead to understanding
Like a pathway with twists and turns
A knowing the reaching branches extending
Ever towards the truth a love that burns
~
Come let us sit beneath this sacred tree
Discover the realities of God in unity
Changeless, Eternal and Almighty
Filling up our souls with our diversity.

Morning light nudges me
A new day to walk along side you
Hopefully, people see you more than myself
My actions and mannerism bringing you to mind
When I smile shyly
to a soul yet to know you,
may light break their apathetic standstill,
causing a spilled confession:
They are terrified of love so true.
Their eyes blinded by devilish lies and glitz
Hearts dipped and coated with lust
Unable to comprehend love so true
They hastily reject the Lamb of God
They are terrified of love so true.
Diluted by modern day Baals
built by their own hands.
They come away a prideful fool.
There is only one true God.
The one true living God
At the door of your heart, he knocks
Will you answer the door?
Or simply pretend, no one is home

To me no one writes like Richard does. His command of the English language astounds me. Daily he displays his awesome talent. I believe this is my favorite piece of his work. I could feel this one! I know you will too!
