Enough rose tears
My roses are heavy with moisture
soaked from all the rains
Today when I looked at them
I remembered….
In tears I’ve pruned and bathed
Every time they bloom
I get my pruning sheers
I dead head all the dead blooms
6 rounds produced last year
I thought to me they looked as if
they were crying Rose tears
had they soaked up all my grief
I’ve poured out these 7 years
I don’t know. . .it’s ok my friends
Enough Rose tears were cried for me
