Old friend
There you are you’ve been
sitting there like that for awhile
waiting for me, patiently.
You see me approaching and you smile
I feel tears come to my eyes because
I’ve missed you so and I didn’t know it
till I saw you, saw you waiting
just for me to talk, to hear my heart
and I thank you….
tell me why did I stop coming here?
