Today is my 50th birthday! I love birthdays especially mine! Even if I don’t do a thing it feels different and special.
I remember thinking I can’t wait till I’m older so people will stop saying,
“Wait till you get older, you’ll change your mind.”
Well now I am, not much has changed about me except, my expectations I gave those up!
I’m having cake for breakfast with my coffee cause I can, it’s my birthday! Alex had this beautiful card waiting for me on my computer this morning.

Thank y’all for all your beautiful birthday emails. Can you believe this sunrise today?
It’s perfect orange/red. I’ve never seen an orange/red sunrise. You know me and my Pa shared
a love for sunrises. . .I like to think this one my Pa asked God to paint me an orange/red one
and really WOW me! I’m WoWed! I love you all and it’s my Birthday! My favorite day of the year!

the blush of pink of a young girls cheek

fushia streaks across the sky

all around me I see pink

and I keep looking

for those pink trees, girl

Cause I know

when i spot one

you will be sitting beneath it

probably sipping

on a pink lemonade 🙂
