I was thinking about the times when I feel alone
I realize in our alone-ness we feel isolated
We feel forgotten
We feel left out
We feel like nobody cares
That simply isn’t so
Trust me on this one when I feel alone
I reach out like I am right now
Reminding myself that I’m never alone
and I know it
Just sometimes when we put our hope
in people they can’t handle the pressure
and turn away
I’ve never really ever needed anyone in my life
but one thing I’ve come to know is that I choose
friends and ones that lift me up and choose me too!
I’m ok with no being chosen except today well it smarts a little!

As for myself, I’ve always been comforting in the background and letting others be front and center. So when I am chosen, I’m like “who me?” I am growing into being chosen every once in a while. Glad I made you smile today 😀
