Happy Friday to you sweet friends!
With a heavy heart I come to you today. . .Have you ever noticed that no matter what the sun comes up? I think sometimes when we are suffering loss or some sort of tragedy that sun has some nerve showing up on your sadness and loss.
Alex [baby girl] has a 1/2 sister Ashley…Yesterday her husband committed suicide. My heart is heavy for her today. I woke before the sun and waited on God. This one thing I know for sure the sun always comes up rather on our grief, on our happiness, no matter what it does come up! This I can count on, God’s grace for my step-daughter and also for Jeanne Marie my Pink friend, her nephew died yesterday. I will tarry for you as you grieve sweet friend. I am here!

A like is not right here, my sincerest condolences.

Shocking is not the word, Honey. It’s news you just don’t expect and it hits you in your midsection with such a pow that it knocks the breath out of you. All are in my prayers, my friend. That is all I know what to do in a situation like this. I pray something good comes out of these situations. Love, Amy

For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. (Lamentations 3:31-33 NIV
This immediately came to me while reading. It’s also been heavy on my heart since the beginning of this week. May it bring Ashley and your friend, and you comfort 🙂 He will have compassion on all of you. ❤️

We really don’t. Men have a particularly hard time, I think, because they are taught from a young age to hide their more vulnerable side and feelings that are considered weak and “girly”. They will also try to protect their loved ones by hiding the true depth of their despair. I feel for you all.

Sorry to hear that. Alcohol is such a curse in that way.
Wishing you the strength to help the girls through this.

Just being there, waiting and praying, _is_ probably all that’s needed at the moment. ❤
