do not stand at my grave
i’m not here
i’m the thousand
winds that you hear
i’m the diamonds
in the snow
i’m the star
that leads you home
do not stand at my grave
i’m not here

When my father died 10 yrs ago, I was given a card from a colleague with words similar to this and it truly helped me. I have since bought 3 of his books..his love poems are to die for:)

I found that I mourned my step-dad a long time because the children were so young…I could only have moments of `me`time. and music is so much imprinted in our brain and soul. So many songs that play from the 50`s to now, I can recall a person, a place or an event.
