I woke up late for work today. Got my coffee and started to take my meds and realized it was Saturday so I went outside to watch the sun rise with Angel and watch my wildflowers glisten in the morning dew.
We saw the little bunny that lives in the field. Angel is so old now she doesn’t even get up to chase them. We enjoy our Oklahoma sky and are thankful for wildflowers and bunnies that visit.
Let’s Just Rest
She noticed him immediately although the room was dimly lit, she noticed his hands first. He was smoking a cigarette, in deep thought. She watched as he took a long drag from him cigarette and holding his breath for what seemed like eternity, he exhaled and smiled. He was alone so she was curious to see what brought a smile to this handsome strangers lips.
Hello, my name is Claire extending her hand.
He smiled again and looked at her taking her hand and kissing it, his mustache brushed her skin, and lightening shot up her arm leaving goose bumps. Smiling again he said, “My name is Jamie but you can call me love. I saw you come the door and seeing you made me smile.”
“What an interesting way to introduce yourself” she said. “I like that a lot.”
She sat down beside him and instantly she felt as though her soul had known his 1,000 years she started to say so as he said
“My soul feels as though it had known you over 1,000 years.”
It’s hard to say why she wanted to feel the touch of his lips on hers but she did so she leaned into him and was met by his reaching kiss.
His lips tasted like tobacco and whisky. She loved the taste of whisky and this was certainly a welcome flavor. One she hoped to always know well from this man called love.
The kiss lasted longer than the song that was playing in her mind. It had been years since she was kissed like that so making up for lost time was on her mind.
She noticed he had a camera bag slung over his chair so she asked him if he was a photographer.
He said, “I’m an engineer and a computer man but now I’m retired so I take photographs of things I love.”
“What do you love,” she asked.
He smiled and said, “I love many things architecture, old buildings, bridges, flowers and the sea. Some say I am the best at photographing flowers, but for me I’m a curious man so I like to see inside things and how they work. I take photographs of these things. Simple to me.” Then he took his glass drained it to the bottom and said, “Let’s go.”
He extended his hand for her to take his and she reached to take his. She had no idea where they were headed but she knew it would be an adventure she would never forget.
This is Sunny the bald eagle. He had a broken wing and the Oklahoma Wildlife people fixed him up only problem was Sunny wasn’t leaving. He still can’t fly, I think I know exactly how Sunny feels. I think Sunny was listening to me because I could tell by the way he turned his head sideways to hear me. Great bird!
See he turned his head sideways. I think he understood me. 😄😂
I think Sunny was finished listening because he turned his back. Such a beautiful bird!

Just relaxing trying not to over share . Apparently the sedation left me a little in a sharing mood. It’s hard to hold in my relief that it’s over.
Today my mom drove up to take me to the hospital I had my back procedure and it all went well. Yay! Only 8 to 12 more weeks to heal. We laughed a lot because the doctors instructions said…Do Not drive or sig important documents. No drinking, or smoking or operating dangerous machinery. Marilyn Skipper Rhoades Antell mom said they should add no giving driving instructions either. We laughed so hard because I kept telling her we were going to take a right so she kept trying to turn right and I meant in 3 miles but was thinking it in my brain. Mom has lost her mind reading skills apparently or I need to shut thee up till I made sense. So I am. Just wanted those who cared to know, know that I made it through and am checking out for the weekend. Much love and hugs to you! 💕💕
