YES baby girl my Alex fell down the stairs at school she has been taking classes all week, and when she picked me up, [we carpool together] she said mom I think I hurt my knee. Yes she did.
Last week I didn’t share with you but we were waiting results from tests on another issue we’ve been dealing with and they all turned out negative which was very positive. Shew!
I sat there in her doctor’s office, [I have to admit] I needed an attitude adjustment because I’m tired, so tired. It’s just me and baby girl and she was sorry she hurt herself which made me feel worse for feeling sorry for myself so I slapped myself and said Michelle get over it, suck it up. Your life is a series of hospitals, doctor’s offices and illness but, that is just how it is….that’s the facts. No harm in stating the facts.
Her doc put a knee brace on her and gave her these crutches and as you can see from the look on her face, she’s used to dealing with her patients that use crutches and it made me laugh this look. She said oh yes I know how to use these. LOL! She could not figure out how to use them, I watched her put all her knowledge into practice and she managed to get out the door. Her doctor was smiling at me because Alex held the crutches out like wings, to which he said, “Alex at least use them till you are out of my eye sight.”
Something about all of this makes me laugh~I seriously could not get her leg in the car. I sat down on the curb and we both laughed and she said mom lets just hang my leg out the door, more laughter.
I hope this encourages you in some way or makes you laugh too, and for some reason I’m laughing as I type this.
Oh the best thing she said was, “Mom I’m working up a sweat, maybe I’ll get a good work out. ”
YES if you know me well you know I’m a workout nut and I’m always trying to get her to go with me to the gym.
I can’t help but smile right now! 😀
I’m more than happy “we” are ok. It’s been weighing heavily in my tears.

Oh dear… I remember having crutches when I broke my foot and it certainly isn’t as easy as it looks. Hope she feels better soon. 🙂
