My daughter’s eyes

I remember the day I first saw my girl’s eyes, I knew at that moment that I always wanted to see this look in her eyes. With her latest lost of vision, I’m so thankful for every part of her and also for the gift of sight. She said mom you never think about your eyes till you lose your sight. I’m not going to lie, this isn’t easy. I started to not share it but then this is part of who I am a mom and I’m praying and standing in faith for her to see again! Thank you for those of you standing with me.

I took this photo because I was going to draw her eyes. I have memorized every part of them. It broke my heart the day I witnessed her not see. It scared me. I remember looking away and then she said mummy what? I didn’t want her to see me cry so I sucked it up and I knew for her I would look. I wish I was magic. I do.

I’m proud of her boldness and her strength to stand toe to toe, eye to eye. She’s fearless, but fearful. I can’t explain it.

I recently started drawing again, and this is always what comes without thinking….her eyes. I draw them. When I see them in my mind’s eye…I see the photo above!

My girl inspires me. So much! So very much! I love her with all my heart!

    1. AWE wow thank you JM! I’ve been a little silent after I shared this because I’ve had to work so much after the holiday I had a magazine to get out still so you know how it is!       6. Well she’s still blind in her right eye. It’s been 7 weeks so I am believing it will come back. We seen her neurologist Friday. She’s a little down in her spirits so today wasn’t a good day for her. I really should just go to sleep but so many things were said today that my mind won’t let go. Thank you for asking!   3. Oh, Michelle Marie, I will stand in prayer with you for the Lord to heal your beautiful daughter with the gorgeous eyes. Lord, I come to you tonight to ask that you heal this young girl and restore her eyesight. It is in your precious name, the name above all names Jesus, that I pray. Please grant her the miracle that she needs to be whole again. Amen!

      1. You’re welcome Michelle! You need to rest to keep strength physically and mentally. Stress can have terrible adverse reactions. I love you dear friend!❤

    1. Thank you Paul! I think so too! Mostly this is about her not seeing in her right eye and my coming to some sort of understanding if you can understand the un-comprehendable. ❤ That’s how I feel today! I needed sleep!
