I’ve lived most of my life healthy, strong and I’m more on the athletic side then I am sedentary. Last Tuesday morning BB called and said mom I can’t walk. So I drove over there my way to work when in and I said what do you mean you can’t walk I said her walker up on the walker tried to get up and fell in the floor. Well my mom reaction was to get her up so I wrapped my arms around her to lifted her, at least that was my intention and we both heard a loud pop, my back, we both fell in he floor. BB was hysterical she called 911 and said help I broke my mom. The fire department got there and asked who fell and BB told what happened.
I was in shock because we just got a diagnoses from the Mayo of sarcoidosis and I was still shocked from that, but it turns out that her not being able to walk is from this disease, along with the blindness in her right eye, the non stop kidney infections, the pneumonia. I could go on and on.
So I broke my L3 vertebrae, painful is not the word for it. I think I’ve been in a state of shock over all that’s gone on with BB and now this. This broken L3 stopped me literally. I told the doctor I don’t have time for a broken back he said well if you want to heal you need to lay flat for a week. Wow! So shocking to me. My entire life stopped. Just lifting my head is an accomplishment today. Yay! I don’t even know what to say I think I just wanted to share this today. That’s all . 😳🙃
Well ya know when i i was thinking “Bling and Baby Bling cannot catch a nreak” I did not mean THAT kind of break!
I’m glad you are getting some rest and hope each tomorrow finds you feeling stronger and better.

Girl I know what you mean! Geez I am healing quicker than I thought the pain is just throbbing and achy not stabbing like it was in the beginning! So now here I am laying down again. BB is in the hospital again. So many tests but the doctor said yesterday that they have no info which is good. She having what they call an EMG test to test the nerve impulses in her legs so we’ll see how that turns out. Last night she had a bone marrow test. So many tests. I had no idea there could be so many things and still 40 tests results they are waiting on! ❤ Love to you Melanie!

Me too! I saw my doc and he said 10 weeks of taking it easy but at least now I have a back brace. I really needed the extra support.
BB is having an EMG Monday and then the doctor will schedule treatment. It seems he thinks he knows what’s wrong so a few more tests to confirm then treatments. Waiting a lot. 💟💕

OMG MM. Poor you and BB. You need to put on your cape before you go picking people up, Supermom!!
Back trouble is no fun. Is a week in bed enough? It takes a long time for broken bones. And sarcoidosis… so it was inflammation after all. I hope that BB responds to the treatment. You need some oreos!

Yes I need many O’s for sure. I ate the Spring ones last week! I’ve just decided to eat them and not worry how many I eat! LOL I might regret that later but who cares. I already feel better and it’s been 2 weeks. BB is still in the hospital having more tests. Seems they want to run more before they treat as they are thinking it could be another disease underlying all the others. Alex is a mystery! That’s for sure! ❤ xoxo

Me too! Monday she is having an EMG. That is where they test the nerves in her legs and back. They do that with those little needles like acupuncture. So then after that we will admit her again for treatment called IVIG. She’ll have a PICC installed port and then infusions of this immuno IV drug it’s supposed to boost her immune system. But we’ll see still 40 other test to come back still. At least she’s home we got her a wheel chair and bedside commode. She wasn’t too happy about that. Her dad is going to try to get FMLA so he can spend more time with her. I’ve used all my time with my back. Usually I have all my sick time and vacation for Alex so we’ll see how it goes! 😀

We do once we get past 15,000 it pays 100% and the Mayo was way more than that so I’m hoping when the bills start rolling in they will be all paid. Fingers crossed! 😀 😛
