Hot summer nights in the south

GIRL we sweat it ain’t pretty. I had a friend say… “We don’t sweat we glisten.”  😀

Maybe I glisten in different ways though I wish and hope for fall. 😀

Help Us To Honor Our Own Hearts

From my friend Laurie’s blog! She always has the right words that touch my heart! ♡

Laurie's Notes's avatarLaurie's Notes

Hold us a little tighter when we can’t find our way — as we can’t see the whole picture, and it’s easy to be frightened of the in-between times from here. Help us to honor all that has felt dishonored in our own hearts — that we might honor all things more deeply. Amen

Chamomile Moments to me…

Chamomile Moments
to me…
I’m a tea person
Chamomile to me…
magical the way I see.

As sweetness goes. . .

I think I might
have the spirit
of the Hummingbird
I love bright colors
and I’m drawn to
Sweetness. . .

Ode’ to You

Ode’ to You

Someone said you love
Yellow Finches…
then I saw one
Someone said that
Yellow butterflies show up
when a loved one has passed
as a sign we will see them again
then I saw one,
then two
None of these go together
but to me they do
They have in common
the sweetness of you
So…everytime I see them
I will smile and say Hi
as the essence of you
flies on by…see you soon

My moms yard

I’ve been swimming a lot and noticing how every corner of my moms yard has something that catches my attention.

This is a canning shed. My mom uses it to park her mower but years ago it was used to store food that was canned from the summer gardens. Funny how we don’t do that anymore.

I have probably seen every kind of bird imaginable in my moms yard. This is one of the fire pits she built, looks like this bird is waiting for something.

Tall murals

I’m visiting my family, my mom took me by these murals she knew I would love. She’s right. I loved how the pigeons kept circling the buildings.
