The men in my family [Uncle Gunn on the left and Uncle Bill provided a photo of the PINK car he drives] are tough enough to wear PINK! It is not about a man’s stature or how many punches he can take or dish out~true strength and toughness comes from within….being brave enough, tough enough to reveal the inner man and stand and cheer on a loved one who is battling breast cancer and to me it makes a statement~I am tough enough to show you my heart and while you are there here’s my shoulder as well! Rest your head on these strong shoulders and together we will face this thing head ON! PINK on Uncle Dudes~PINK on!

Autumn drive in Wisconsin~I love that we share this love for nature. 

Pennies Heaven Sent

I set out for a walk one gorgeous beautiful fall morning full of colors abound,
the sun sent a shiny beacon of light casting in my eyes coming from the ground.
Much to my surprise as I drew closer to the color ambience, it was a penny,
I thought about why I took this walk in the first place as my troubles were many.

As I bent down and picked up this penny, I was amazed as it looked brand-new,
how could a coin be so perfect without a scratch, I truly had no clue.
I began walking again flipping the penny round and round putting a smile on my face,
as the leaves rustled in the wind turning up and down was so easy to embrace.

And so became the belief that when an Angel thinks of you, they toss a penny down,
but it’s just not any ordinary coin, as it turned my smile from a frown.
So don’t pass that penny by when your troubles are many and you’re feeling blue,
as God sends down from the heavens His angels, to give you a sign and bless you!

Gunnar Timothy

A man was hunched over a park bench with his head in his hands,
he had reached an end to answers for his life’s impossible demands.
This sobbing man raised his head up and gazed at the overcast clouds,
asking God “how could you let this happen,” he said out loud.

Just then God’s angel gathered up a gentle summer breeze,
and along came a white feather that floated right on this man’s knee.
Suddenly the clouds opened up and the sun shone on his face,
this man was astonished at what had just taken place.

He tucked the feather in his coin pocket of his faded beat up jeans,
and set an open course with new hope and raised self-esteem.
Weeks went by as this man rebuilt his brand-new life,
carrying the hope that was given to him in, and the will to survive.

One day the man returned to his favorite park bench where he always prayed,
this time his prayers were of gratitude, and strength in a loving God that he obeyed.
He took the feather from his coin pocket, to let it go in the gentle wind,
“The White Feather of Hope he said, will come to bless someone else over again.”
