Sept. 11, 2019 | Waxing Gibbous Moon

My day ends with this beautiful Waxing Gibbous Moon; it’s not quite 100% full.
I took some close up shots so you could see the craters to the left.
I can’t stop looking at them. This view is what I saw first;
the lavender sky caught my attention first, but I knew it wasn’t yet a full moon.

My day started with awesomely tender, remembering, and then this beautiful moon.
We keep holding our breath! Sweet friends, we can exhale. We are going to be okay!
It just looks different than we thought.

Today I’m thankful for clouds

Today I’m thankful for clouds. They give up a respite from the hot summer heat. They provide us with cleansing rain drops. I love rain, I love Fall and Winter. Summer I’m breaking up with you!! 😊

Mockingbirds will sing for you

Please, won’t you, tell me a story
Oklahoma dust in your eyes
Please, won’t you speak of the glory
Hidden beyond
How little we knew of it
Mockingbirds will sing for you
Your song at dawn’s view
I hear them all through the night
You changed a piece of my life
Mockingbird sing me a tune
I was thinking about you and how
You changed a piece of my life

Mockingbird…

Crescent Moon joined by lavender and tangerine pink skies

Beautiful crescent moon this dawn, joined by lavender & tangerine pink skies. I love this Oklahoma sky! Have a beautiful day!

I’ve always been a friend of clouds

You know me, I’ve always been a friend of clouds
I like my lightning bright, and my thunder loud
Baby, it’s the craziest I’ve seen
Waiting on the sky, for shades of green
Blow me down, take me away
Maybe there will be a brighter day
But not today, I’ll be waiting here
Let it rain, let it pour, maybe quench my thirst once more
I’m holding out my tongue, I want to feel the rain
Washing over me, Let it rain, let it pour
You know me, I’ve always been a friend of clouds

I saw you dancing

I saw you dancing
I reached out to catch you
You were moving so quick
You never caught my hand
Reaching out, out for you

I’m the butterflies
You asked to come
I’m the wind
The sweet breeze
that kisses your face

Slow down sweet sister

After all these year… Words fail me

How can I carve your name
On the trunk of this tree?
That will be here…after

I can’t even write it

With no one listening…
Not even myself
I whisper these words
It’s all I can do

Sometimes

After all these years
Look at me here
Got this love song stuck
in my throat…

The weight of the world
on my shoulders
I can’t let go

Words fail me

None of this makes sense
Except maybe to you
I try to share…

Words fail me

I hate love songs
You wonder why
Words fail me

Sometimes they do
