Waiting for her song

waitingforhersong

Waiting for her song…she can be found
Patiently growing…and healing around
She cannot see…she’s dancing still
Her heart it dances…with dreams and thrills
She laughs at silly things…I miss that sweet laugh
Waiting for something…thinking she lacks
She’s still dancing…I can see in her heart
This dance it is different…she’s no longer part
Of the shallow and hollow…world all around
There’s depth to her soul and mud on her face
This dance is different there is not a trace
Of the girl she once knew…except from her face
The stare of a woman she patiently waits

Waiting for her song…

      1. Cool. Glad you got to rest. I spent the day at a remembrance ceremony in Baltimore. The Pride of Baltimore sank thirty years ago to the day. It was a moving experience.

    1. It sure is. Not letting it steal my joy is hard. I noticed it’s always in the back of my mind. This bought of sickness has changed our lives so drastically I really don’t know what to do so I just blogged and shared some of it. ღ
